To create your email with your own domain name, just log in to the cPanel at yourdomain.com/cpanel using your username and password.
Now, as you log in, you will see a list of available tools for your website.
Find ‘Email Accounts’ and open it. It should be the first function you will see in your cPanel. If you can’t find it, the cPanel Paper Lantern theme has a search option that helps us easily find things we look for. Just type ‘email accounts’ and it will show it for you instantly.
Now, as you open the Email Accounts, you will see a ‘+ Create’ button towards the right of the list of emails. Click that and you will be taken to the page where you will be able to create an account. Just enter your desired username @yoursite.com and set your password. We advise to set your own hard-to-guess password. Now, after you do that, you can click on ‘+Create.’
Checking your mail
We will tell you two ways to check your email: Through your web browser in your PC or Mac or whatever and through your android phone (not through mobile browser, but through an app).
First, to check your email through your computer’s web browser, just go to yoursite.com/webmail. It will open a page asking you to enter your email address and password. Just enter your FULL EMAIL ADDRESS that you have just created with the password you chose.
You will then be taken to this page.
In our cPanel we have an additional tool beside Roundcube which is Horde. You can choose one of them and press ‘Open.’ It will open your mail. You can send an email and check your mail through this method.
If you would like to use an Android App to check this email so that you could easily monitor what’s happening, just go to Play Store and look for it. You will find several apps for this.
But our choice is always BlueMail (interestingly, BlueMail also has a Windows/Desktop version). We’ll tell you how to set your custom email in BlueMail so that you will receive notifications on your phone whenever you receive mail.
Download BlueMail and Open it.
It will ask you to Add an Account giving you two options – Google and Add Account. Choose Add Account. Now you will come to an even bigger options page. But select the last one ‘Other Email.’ Now, enter your full email address and password and press ‘Next.’ Remember to select ‘Automatic’ on this page before you press ‘Next.’
BlueMail will then automatically configure your email. You will then be asked to fill in your name (the name that will be shown to your email recipients when you send them mail) and description (the name that will be there in your BlueMail interface). After you fill these, just press ‘Done’ and you will be taken to Account Notifications and Instant Push Settings. Just don’t touch anything on that page and press ‘Done’ again.
Viola again! Now your own inbox in your phone from your own custom email is in your hands.
